According to analysts, the upward trend in demand for rented apartments is typical for almost all major cities in Russia. The increase in interest is most noticeable in Izhevsk (by a third), Ulyanovsk (by a quarter) and Irkutsk (by 18 percent). At the same time, the cost of rent in the country as a whole increased by 3.6 percent over the year, to 18.2 thousand rubles a month. Most often, Russians were interested in renting one-room apartments - on average, they cost 14.9 thousand rubles a month.


In addition to one-room apartments, the top 10 requests for rent include studios and two-room apartments, as well as houses. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, where rent is the most expensive in the country, apartments were rented by 18 and 16 percent less per year, respectively, Avito calculated.
