The housing rental market in Moscow will be transferred to a civilized channel due to the emergence of large players. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the deputy mayor of the capital for economic policy and property and land relations, Vladimir Yefimov.
According to the city authorities, the rental business will be of interest to large investors, since the city has already prepared certain benefits for them. “We exempted rented houses from payment for changing the type of permitted use. We are sure that investors will start building such houses in the near future, ”the news agency quotes Efimov.

According to the Deputy Mayor, if a serious volume of "white" supply appears in Moscow, it will concentrate the main demand of employers.

The consequence of this will be the desire of private landlords to also legalize their business, the official said.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced the need to develop the housing rental market in the country. The prime minister stressed that this would require overcoming certain features of the Russian mentality. Medvedev also noted that the mandatory conditions for a civilized market at the level of European countries should be the regulation of contracts, rental rates available to the population and opportunities for the development of rental projects.
